App Volume(繁體中文名稱「應用音量」,以下稱「本 App」)由 xup Studio 開發。
5. Firebase
(Firebase Analytics)
(Firebase Crashlytics)
(Firebase Firestore)
- 1–5 分評分、回饋文字(最多 200 字)與提交時間;
- 選填的 email;
- App 版本與 build、iOS / iPadOS 版本、裝置型號與語言;
- Google Firebase:Analytics、Crashlytics、Authentication、App Check、Installations、Remote Config、Firestore 與 Hosting。

App Volume is developed by xup Studio. This policy explains how the app and this website process data and the choices available to you.
1. Summary
- The Modes, app rules, and volume values you create are stored on your device by default.
- You may back them up to your own Apple CloudKit private database. This is backup and restore, not live cross-device sync.
- We use Google Firebase for anonymous authentication, service protection, remote configuration, Discover content, analytics, crash diagnostics, and feedback you choose to submit.
- We do not use data for cross-company or cross-app advertising tracking, sell or rent personal data, or include an advertising SDK.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Modes, app rules (including app identifiers and volume values), Global Rules, headphone volume settings, usage statistics, and preferences are primarily stored on-device. Normal use does not upload your Mode names, app names or bundle IDs, or complete rule records to xup Studio. Section 5.2 describes the derived analytics fields that may be sent while analytics is enabled.
3. Private iCloud Backup
When you back up manually or enable automatic backup, the app writes Modes, rules, and related settings to your own CloudKit private database. xup Studio cannot browse the contents of your private database from its developer console. Restore is initiated by you, and this feature does not merge changes across devices in real time.
You can turn off automatic backup in App Settings and remove the related data using Apple's iCloud storage management tools.
4. Discover & Sharing
4.1 Discover
Discover reads curated Modes maintained by xup Studio from Firebase Firestore. The app may record the curated item's identifier, an install event, app version, and time to understand which public content is useful. Browsing Discover does not upload your private Modes or app list.
4.2 Modes You Choose to Share
When you create a share link, the Mode name and rules needed for import—including app identifiers and volume values—are encoded in the link. Anyone with the link can view and import that content, and the link service and network providers may process ordinary connection metadata. Do not put personal information in a Mode name if you do not want it shared.
5. Firebase and Data We Collect
5.1 Anonymous Authentication, App Check & Required Configuration
At launch, the app uses Firebase Authentication to create or restore an anonymous user ID (UID). It does not contain your name or Apple ID, but it acts as a persistent pseudonymous identifier used to protect Firestore requests, authorize feedback submissions, and—when analytics is enabled—associate product events from the same installation or sign-in state.
Firebase App Check (Apple DeviceCheck in production), Firebase Installations, and Remote Config process device or installation identifiers, app and system versions, network requests, and security attestations needed for service operation, compatibility, and integrity checks. Remote Config supplies shortcut template locations, compatibility or update information, and feature configuration.
5.2 Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
Usage analytics is on by default. It collects product interactions linked to the anonymous UID or device/installation identifiers, such as onboarding steps, bucketed Mode and rule counts, feature opens, widget or Control Center interactions, backup results, curated Mode installs, and review prompts. Analytics does not include Mode names you enter, bundle IDs of apps you add, feedback text, or email.
Google Analytics derives an approximate region, such as a city or region, from a masked IP address and links it to the anonymous UID or device/installation identifier. The app never accesses Apple's Location Services or collects precise GPS location.
To understand preferred volume ranges, analytics may also send a 0–100% volume percentage, speaker or headphone channel, configuration source, enabled state, and a broad app category such as music, video, social, or gaming. These action events and at-most-daily configuration snapshots contain no app name, bundle ID (including a hash), rule ID, Mode ID, or Mode name.
5.3 Crash & Diagnostic Data (Firebase Crashlytics)
Crashlytics is on by default and may collect crash stacks, non-fatal errors, performance and other diagnostic data, device and operating-system information, app version, and non-personal state needed to diagnose a problem (such as a Mode UUID and feature state). It does not intentionally collect Mode names or bundle IDs from your app rules.
A Mode UUID may also appear in product analytics, so crash and diagnostic data may be associated with the same anonymous user or installation state.
5.4 Turn Off Analytics & Crash Reports
Go to App Volume → Settings → Advanced and turn off “Share usage analytics” to disable collection by both Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. This setting is on by default.
After you turn it off, anonymous Firebase Authentication, App Check, Remote Config, and Firestore requests you initiate through Discover or feedback continue to operate because they provide secure app functionality. Those required services are not disabled by the telemetry switch.
5.5 Feedback You Choose to Submit (Firebase Firestore)
Only when you tap Submit do we store:
- Your 1–5 rating, feedback text (up to 200 characters), and submission time;
- Your optional email address;
- App version and build, iOS / iPadOS version, device model, and locale;
- Mode count, current access state, and anonymous Firebase UID.
These support diagnostics and usage-state fields are stored with the anonymous UID and any email you choose to provide. Feedback does not automatically include Mode names or your app list. If you type personal information into the message, we receive what you type. We use feedback to respond, fix bugs, improve the product, and prevent abuse.
6. What We Do Not Do
- We do not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking.
- We do not combine data with third-party advertising data or build cross-app advertising profiles.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not send your Mode names or app rule list through Analytics or Crashlytics.
7. Third-Party Services
- Apple: iOS / iPadOS, Shortcuts, CloudKit, the App Store, and DeviceCheck, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase: Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication, App Check, Installations, Remote Config, Firestore, and Hosting, subject to Firebase privacy and security information.
Third parties may process data outside your country or region through their infrastructure.
8. Retention & Security
You control on-device data and private iCloud backups. Analytics and diagnostic data are handled according to our Firebase project settings and Google's retention policies. We keep feedback only as long as reasonably needed to respond, diagnose issues, improve the product, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We use platform access controls and anonymous authentication to reduce unauthorized-access risk, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices & Deletion
- Delete the app to remove local data from the device.
- Turn off automatic backup in App Settings and remove private backup data through Apple's iCloud storage management.
- Turn off Analytics and Crashlytics in App Settings.
- Email is optional in feedback. To ask about or request deletion of identifiable feedback, contact us with the submission date and enough information to identify it.
10. Children's Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children for personal information. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information.
11. This Website
This is a static website and sets no first-party analytics cookie. The language-switch preference is saved in your browser's localStorage. The site loads Google Fonts and Font Awesome from cdnjs; the web host and those CDNs may receive IP address, browser information, and ordinary server request logs.
12. Contact & Changes
